Health and Safety

Farm Safety Week 2022 – Find out more about the 10th annual Farm Safety Week, and why it’s so important to prioritise safety across the agricultural industry.

Farming remains one of our country’s most hazardous industries; accounting for 1% of workers but 22% of all worker fatalities (HSE).

In order for farm businesses to stay sustainable, health and safety measures need to be put in place and addressed, particularly in the farming community, as dealing with large machinery can often increase vulnerability to those workers.

The Health and Safety Executive has released the official fatal injuries statistics for 2021/22. You can access the data here.
